Public Meetings for December, 2011:
The Heath Outcomes Subcommittee (Time: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm) will meet December 8, 2011 to complete the development of their recommendations for changes to the Prioritized List in order to incorporate the new CPT and HCPCS codes for 2012. Other topics of discussion will include, but may not be limited to, progesterone-containing IUDs for non-contraceptive indications, placement of various codes for cerebral aneurysms, and several straightforward coding corrections. Also on the agenda will be review to date of the ICD-10 conversion process for the Prioritized List.
Public comment is welcome but may be limited according to the commission’s policy:
HSC Acceptance of Testimony
The Health Services Commission ( Time: 1:00 - 3:30 pm) will meet for the final time on December 8, 2011 to approve changes to the Prioritized List to be effective April 1, 2012, which will include the incorporation of new CPT and HCPCS codes and the recently endorsed evidence-based guideline on the management of low back pain. As part of the State of Oregon Evidence-based Clinical Guidelines Project the commission will take initial public comment on the upcoming development of a guideline on spinal fusion (at 1:30 pm) and a draft guideline on imaging for chronic low back pain (at 2:00 pm).
Public comment on the topics listed for the State of Oregon Evidence-based Clinical Guidelines Project may be limited depending on the number of individuals testifying.
