The Pharmacy Services program provides prescription services to Oregonians and works to lower the cost of prescription drugs. Pharmacy services uses a statewide Preferred Drug List that is evidence-based, used by the Oregon Health Plan and available to all Oregonians. Pharmacy Services provides prescription drug coverage to clients in programs such as CAREAssist and OHP (Medicaid). The program works to reduce the price of medications, which is one of the essential steps in containing the rising costs of health care. Through the Oregon Prescription Drug Program, the Oregon Health Authority is able to save money for consumers, employers and the state on medications.
